Cortland Foundation for Children

The Cortland Foundation is a corporation Tina's family established in 2016, in honor and memory of their beloved son, Cortland James. Cortland was a young man who loved life, loved children, and was a believer. He was confident in who he was, and was a friend to people of all ages.

Hours after his 20th birthday, Cortland was tragically killed in an automobile accident. Tina and her family chose to honor Cortland's memory by helping the causes they knew would bring healing and life to children and ultimately, to families.

Now, through the establishment of their family's personal foundation, and the efforts of this book, they hope to enrich the lives of children and families locally and beyond.

Theresians International

Tina is a member of Theresians International, a global ministry founded in Catholic tradition that welcomes all women who desire to grow spiritually within a Christian community.  Theresians pledge support by prayerfully nurturing, affirming and empowering one another to become the women God intends them to be.  By living according to 5 Dimensions:  Spirituality, Education, Community, Vocation, and Ministry, all Theresian women grow in Gospel values. 

Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrator's Association (SCBWI)

Tina is a Pal member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrator's Association. This organization is a non-profit organization specifically for individuals who write and illustrate for children and young adults.  This organization stands as a support to connect authors, editors, publishers, and illustrators, as well as a great means of information for all involved in the process of educating and entertaining young readers.

American Christian Fiction Writers
